In an attempt to check the unprecedented surge in coronavirus cases, the Centre further relaxed the vaccination regime- by allowing all those above 18 years to get covid vaccination from May 1. The decision was taken after the Prime Minister chaired several high-level meetings to take stock of the prevailing covid situation in the country.
All adults will be vaccinated in "a liberalised and accelerated Phase 3 strategy of COVID-19 vaccination", the government said in a statement .
