Answer:

The government is taking the initiative to get rid of poverty by introducing a lot of schemes regarding each and every sector.

Social Grants can be defined as a particular sum provided to the needy or helpless.

Feeding Children at School:

This initiative can be observed in most of the government schools. The midday meal scheme came in the year 1995 where students are served healthy food every day.

No fees school:

Government has taken imitative regarding the students whose family comes under BPL, they have brought scheme for the same where the student can continue his or her education with the help of a scholarship.

Free health care in hospital:

The fee charged at a government hospital is minimum in comparison to the ones in a private hospital. And for those who are below the poverty line, the government has given them the allowance for free medical but on some conditions.

RDP houses:

This is under the National Housing Subsidy Scheme criteria. The RDP houses are basically provided to the people who have no earning or are living in a state where basic necessities cannot be attained.
