is to generate nuclear power to meet the growing energy needs of the country but the people in that
region protested against it on the grounds of safety, security and livelihood. Scientists,
Environmentalists and Social Activists stood by the people. They said,"Protect the coast and state from
the radio active peril. This is not only an immense generation of power but also an incredible potential
for destruction. Stop the project to look to renewable energy as an alternative". But the government
turned deaf ear.
