These reservations are against the right to equality today. when these were implemented in 1950, these were very fair, as at that time, they were very backward and their economic conditions were very low. there representation was needed . in order to ensure their representation in legislature and executive , and to give them proper education in govt. institutions.

Today, a richer section has emerged in SC, ST. these richer sections have got proper representation and they are now misusing it. the poorer section of SC, ST society is yet to be represented by means of reservation. Today's demand is to introduce creamy layer in SC, ST reservation as what is in OBC . Otherwise, it will be a strong violation to right to equality as people who are using reservation are equal to general category in educational, financial and economic circumstances.

vamika13: Completely agreed.... But aren't we expected to write that it doesn't go against Right to Equality? I know if thought of it practically then it IS against it.

RathoreV: vamika 13 , you are right, it is against the right to equality in today's circumstances.
RathoreV: welfare of them should be in the edication at the primary level, not in the jons or senior education.
