The total amount of tax is ₹1200.

• Given data :

Rate of the tax is rupees 20 per cubic metres of sand.

Capacity of a truck is 5 cubic metres of sand.

Total number of trucks is 12.

• Firstly we have to calculate the total amount of sand by using the following mathematical formula :

= Sand storing capacity of one truck × Total numbers of truck

= 5×12

= 60 m³

• At last we have to calculate the total amount of tax by using the following mathematical formula :

= Total amount of sand × Tax for single cubic metre

= 60 × 20

= ₹1200

So,the total amount of tax which is collected by panchayat is ₹1200. (Answer)
