explanation : we have to find total distance travelled by the particle from 0 to 10 sec

first find distance travelled by particle from 0 to 5 sec.
distance travelled from 0 to 5 sec = area of right angled triangle
= 1/2 × 5 × 20 = 50 m

distance travelled by particle from 5 to 10 sec
= | area of triangle |
= | 1/2 × -20 × 5 |
= | -50|
= 50m

hence, total distance travelled by particle from t = 0 to t = 10 sec is (50m + 50m) = 100m
