As per the Civil Registertion Data, the number of girl borns per 1000 boys has been declining since 1991. The number of girl borns in 1991 has been 867 per 1000 boys, while in 2006 it has taken the edge off to 831.
There are fluctuations in the numbers between the years 1991 and 2006. In 2001, the number has reduced drastically to 809 while in the consequent years it has raised to 831, 823 per 1000 boys. However, the number has remained constant over the years.
