Hello,

The graph of p(x)=3x+5 represents

(a) a straight line.

option a is correct.

put
y = 3x + 5 \\ \\

put different values of x ( i.e. integers) you will get different values of y.

like put x=0

y= 3*0+5 = 5

coordinate ( 0,5)

put x= 1, y = 8
coordinate (1,8)

put x= -1

y = 2

coordinate (-1 ,2)

mark those points and draw line,you will find a straight line.

Hope it helps you.

Hi,

p( x ) = 3x + 5 it is a linear equation

in two variables x , and p( x )

So , any equation in the form of

ax + by + c = 0 is always shows a

straight line .

option ( a ) is correct.

I hope this helps you.
