Given,

3x + 4y = 12

By Hit an Trial,

Put x = 0

Therefore, 3(0) + 4y = 12

=> 0+ 4y = 12

=> y = 12/4

=> y = 3

Thus, one point is (0,3).

Now, for a line for graph, we need another point,

which will be,

Put, y = 0,

Therefore, 3x + 4(0) =12

=> 3x = 12

=> x = 12/3

=> x = 4

Thus, another point is (4,0).

Now we can get the graph, and similarly the graph of the linear equation 3x+4y=12 is a line which meets the Y-axis at the point (4,0) or (0,4)
