Given : linear equation x+2y=7 passes the point 0,7

To Find :   whether the statement  is  true or false

Solution:

x+2y = 7

point 0 , 7 lies on x+2y = 7

iff  0  + 2(7) = 7

iff 0 + 14 = 7

iff  14 = 7

but 14 ≠ 7

Hence (0,7 ) does not lie on line  x+2y = 7
