HELLO MATE
When excess of fertiliser is added to a grass lawn the water from grass undergoes a process of exosmosis due to a higher solute concentration region outside and therefore the plant eventually dies .

Excess nitrogen used in crop fertilization can contribute to the release of greenhouse gases such as CO2 and nitrous oxide into the atmosphere. Phosphate fertilizer which are commonly in use, contain fluoride as a impurity ,then can increase in the amount of fluoride in water as well as soil.It is very necessary to add a fixed amount of fertilizer in the soil to protect the crop and improve yields..
