the gravitational force between 2 objects is F. how will this force when - distance between them is reduced to half​

First write down the gravitational formulae . Then put (r/2)^2 in the place of r^2 as we have reduced the distance to half .Then you will get this answer ,

                            F`=4* G*M*m/r^2

                    or,    F`=4F

So the new force will be 4 times

                                                           * =multiplication

According to the universal law of gravitation, gravitatiional force (F),..

F∝ 1/r^2

If distance r becomes r/2, then the gravitational force will be proportional to

F ∝ 1/ (r/2)^2 ∝ 4/r^2

Hence, if the distance is reduced to half, then the gravitational force becomes four times larger than the previous value.
