the gravitational force between two bodies is 4N what will be the gravitational force between the bodies if the distance between them doubles​

Answer :-

We know, Newton's law of gravitation in mathematical form is

F \:  =  \frac{GMm}{ {r}^{2} }   \:  \:  \:  -----------(1)

Here , F = 4N ( Given )

If distance between them doubles then ,

F′ =  \frac{GMm}{ {(2r)}^{2} }

F′ =  \frac{GMm}{ {4r}^{2} } \:  \:  -----------(2)

Comparing (1) and (2),

F′ =   \frac{F}{4}  =  \frac{4N}{4}  = 1N

So , gravitational force between the bodies is 1N.
