The gravitational force of attraction between two objects is given the formula;

F=[G*M*m]/d²

100=[G*M*m]/d²

Let this be equation (1)

When the distance between two bodies is 100 N then the objects should be in √(2) distance of original distance.

F'=[G*M*m]/ (√(2)d)²

F'=[G*M*m]/2*d²

F'=[G*M*m]/(d²)*1/2

From equation (1) [G*M*M]/d² =100

F'=1/2* 100

F'= 50 N

Answer:

F'= 50 N

Explanation:

The gravitational force of attraction between two objects is given the formula;

F=[G*M*m]/d²

100=[G*M*m]/d²

Let this be equation (1)

When the distance between two bodies is 100 N then the objects should be in √(2) distance of original distance.

F'=[G*M*m]/ (√(2)d)²

F'=[G*M*m]/2*d²

F'=[G*M*m]/(d²)*1/2

From equation (1) [G*M*M]/d² =100

F'=1/2* 100

F'= 50 N
