Let the distance be d1 with f1 (i.e 100N) of force.
And, let the required distance be d2 with f2 (i.e. 50N) of force.
F1 = GMm ÷ d1²
F2 = GMm ÷ d2²
F1 / F2 = d2² / d1²
100 ÷ 50 = [d2 / d1]²
d2 = √2d1
