We have formula for gravitational force .....

F=Gm1m2/r^2

as G ,m1,m2 are constant for given two objects.

so F is inversely proportional to the square of distance between the objects.
so F1/F2 =(r2)^2/(r1)^2
we are given r2=r1/4
or( r2)^2=(r1/)^2/16
or( r2)^2/(r1)^2=1/16
so F1/F2=1/16
=> F2=16F1
so force will become 16 times.
