Gravitational force F=Gm1m2/R^2 Force is inversely proportional to square of the distance between the two object so, F1/F2=(R2/R1)^2...(1) Force is double,F2=2×F1...(2) Put value of F2 in equation 1, F1/(2×F1)=(R2/R1)^2 1/2=(R2/R1)^2 √1/2=R2/R1 R2=R1√1/2
