the gravitational force between two objects is 49N . What will be the gravitational force between these objects if the distance between them becomes double ??​

Answer: 12.25N

Given, F= 49N

Let m1 and m2 be the mass of the bodies and x be the distance between them.

Then the distance after getting double will be 2x.

F= G m1×m2/x² = 49N

F'= G m1×m2/(2x)² = 1/4× F= 49× 1/4 = 12.25N

(since G m1×m2/x² = F we can substitute it)
