Explanation: If the mass of both of the objects is doubled, then the force of gravity between them is quadrupled; and so on. ... If the separation distance between two objects is doubled (increased by a factor of 2), then the force of gravitational attraction is decreased by a factor of 4 (2 raised to the second power).

A) we know that G.F = GMm/ r2

So ,

F = GMm/ (2R)2
F= GMm/ 4r2

Ans = the force becomes F/4

B) let m1 = m1/2. And m2 = m2/2

Now,

F = GMm/r2
F= Gm1m2 / 4 *r2
F= 1/4

Ans= if each mass is reduced to half so the force becomes F/4
