The gravitational force between two objects is F. If the masses of both the objects are halved without altering the distance between them, what is the new gravitational force

In first case gravitational force is

F = G M1M2/r^2

in second case when mass of both object become halfed is

F' = G (M1M2)/2/2

=> F' = 1/2 F


Hence, new graviata force is half of the original gravitational force .
