answer

500N is the force between you and Earth. It is symmetrical as it applies to both objects. Therefore, the force you feel in the soles of your feet is 500N, the same as your pull of the Earth. Comment on Lorenzo Lucena Maguire's post “You don't sum the forces of gravity.

distance of mass from  earth   surface  =  0.118R   if force is 0.8 times

Explanation:

The gravitational force on the mass m placed at surface of earth is F

=> F = mg

distance of mass from  earth   surface  = d

F = 0.8F

=> 0.8F = mg₁

=> 0.8 mg  = mg₁

=> g₁ = 0.8g

g = GM/R²

g₁ = GM/(R+d)²

=> 0.8g = GM/(R+d)²

=> 0.8GM/R² = GM/(R+d)²

=>  (R+d)² = R²/0.8

=>  (R+d)² = 1.25R²

=> R + d  =  1.118R

=> d =  0.118R

d =  0.118R

distance of mass from  earth   surface  =  0.118R
