√17 - √12        <           √11 - √6

Step-by-step explanation:

√17 - √12        ?          √11 - √6

add both sides

√12  + √6

=> √17 - √12 + √12  + √6    ?    √11 - √6 + √12  + √6

=> √17    + √6     ?    √11    +   √12

Both are positive numbers hence Square of greater number would be greater

Squaring both sides

=> 17 + 6 + 2√17√6    ?    11 +  12 + 2√11 √12

=> 23 + 2√102    ?    23 + 2√132

Subtracting 23 from both sides

=> 2√102    ?     2√132

Dividing by 2 both sides

=>  √102    ?      √132

as 102  <  132

=> √102    <      √132

=> √17 - √12        <           √11 - √6
