Explanation:

Let the two force be F1 and F2

when these two forces will act along same line in same direction then their resultant will be maximum

→ F1 + F2 = 16 ..........eq ( 1 )

When these to forces will act along same line and in opposite direction then their resultant will be minimum

→ F1 - F2 = 6 ............eq ( 2 )

Adding equations 1 and 2

→ 2 F1 = 22

F1 = 11 N

F2 = 5 N

Now , as the forces are acting at right angle to each other , their magnitude of resultant will be :

\sqrt{{F_{1}}^{2} + {F_{2}}^{2}}

 \sqrt{5 {}^{2}  \:    +  \:   11 {}^{2}  }

√(146) N
