Answer:
The greedy and the foolish often land themselves in almost insurmountable difficulties. in the text 'In The Kingdom Of Fools', we see the Disciple and the Guru arrive at the kingdom of fools and notice that everything here costed the same, a measly price of one duddu. The Guru being the smarter of the two, advised or rather, warned the Disciple to leave this queer country, forecasting some form of trouble or the other. However, the Disciple, trapped in his greed for food, did not pay heed to the Guru's words, remained in the kingdom, ate his fill till he grew fat enough to fit the stake prepared for the rich merchant, and ended up being recruited to be punished by death at the stake for no proper reason and, thus, foolishly ended up in trouble as predicted by the Guru.
In real life, we constantly see the evil of greed making people do actions they end up regretting later in life. An employer might spend lakhs on his office quarters for the comfort of his employees and the efficiency of their work. But a greedy employee, unable to withstand his/her desire for a particularly decorative or comfortable object owned by his/her employer might end up stealing it. This misdeed might be caught on CCTV cameras installed in the office and the employee would end up in trouble for his crime.

Explanation:
The statement given in question statement is indeed true. A greedy person is the one who does not look at things in a logical and rational way rather his thought is blinded by the temptation of wealth and money.
This can be seen In The Kingdom Of Fools, where the disciple did not listen to his guru as he got greedy of getting the food but eventually he had to pay the price of his foolishness.
Similar consequences happen when foolish people take decisions based on greediness
