The green revolution in India happened in the field of agriculture as it was improved with many scientific techniques, especially with the High Yielding Variety (HYV) seeds.


It led to increased crop production in the states of Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.


But it faced many problems like lack of finance, lack of self-sufficiency, and frequent famines.
