In simple words , it is because if there is large. no of population , it means that the need of even common used resources is more leading to depletion of resources. this will exploit the resource. And for the biodiversity, it is affected as you can see in forest that if we cut trees then we are firstly destroying the habitat of biodiversity living around there

An increase in human population is affecting biodiversity by taking up more land which threats the lives of plants and animals. Forests are being cut down to create residential places for human beings, natural resources are been depleting such as sea food to feed the over population. Due to the lack of resources, birds are animals are migrating to the suitable places.
