It affects biodiversity by the following ways.

Destroys the natural environment all life depends on.

Introduces vicious competition for human living space.

Destroys certain species, both animal and vegetal with no ability to restart them.

Permanently removes an excess of natural resources (minerals etc) without any ability to restore them again.

There are way too many humans on Earth, with way too much power and far too little self awareness and rational intelligence.
