The H.C.F of two numbers 157 and their L.C.M is 210 . If one of the number is 35 than find the others .

We know that formula :

\longrightarrow\sf{35\times r=157\times 210}\\\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{r=\dfrac{157\times \cancel{210}}{\cancel{35}} }\\\\\\\longrightarrow\sf{r=157\times 6}\\\\\\\longrightarrow\bf{r=942}

Thus;

The other number will be r = 942 .

  • The H.C.F of two numbers is 157.

TO FIND:

  • The other number .

SOLUTION:

Let,the other number be x

As we know that,

product of two mubers = H.C.F × L.C.M.

=> 35 × x = 157 × 210

=> x = ( 157 × 210 )/35

=> x = 157 × 6

=> x = 942

Hence, the other number is 942.

VERIFICATION:

As we know that,

Product of two numbers = H.C.F × L.C.M

Take L.H.S First

= 35 × 942

= 32970................(1)

Now R.H.S Part,

= 210 × 157

= 32970...............(1)

Here, Equation (1) = Equation (2)

Therefore, L.H.S = R.H.S
