Yes of course heat can be transffered from one point to another in a conductor.

When heat is applied to one end of the conductor the atoms in the conductor are set in motion or they gain energy.

As we know energy always travel from a point of high energy to a point of low energy. So the atoms from the point where heat is applied move towards to the other end and hence travelling heat which is a form of energy from one point to other
