The formula for amount remaining :

Amount = Original amount × 1/(2ⁿ)

Where n = Number of half lives

From the question above :

Half life = time / half life

n = 4/10 = 0.4

Doing the substitution we have :

1/(2^0.4) = 0.7579

0.7579 × 1 = 0.7579grams
