Half life period of a reaction is indirectly proportional to the initial concentration.

 t_{1/2}  ∝ 1 /  C_{o} ^{n-1}

For first scenario, Half life = 4 years; Concentration = 50mm

4 = 1/  50^{n-1}

For second scenario, Half life = 2 years; Concentration = 100mm

2 = 1/  100^{n-1}

Ratio will be:

4/2 =  (100/50)^{n-1}

2=  2^{n-1}

Therefore, n = 2

Order of reaction is 2.
