Harversian system :

✒ Harversian are seen in compact bones. It is also called as Oseton. In the centre it contains haversian Canal that runs parallel to the marrow cavity

✒ It contains an artery and vein and lymphatic vessel this is surrounded by the concentric lamellae

✒ This lamellae contain small fluid filled spaces called lacunae

✒ This lacunae are connected by contributing. Each lacuna encloses one bone cell called osteocyte.

✒ This Haversian canals are connected by one other and also connected by peritoneum and marrow cavity though volkmans canal

✒ Harversian canals help in supply of nutrients and gases to bone
