The Haughty Cat and the Naughty Mouse
A haughty cat and a naughty mouse
Were forced to live in a haunted house
With ghosts and witches flying in and out
A nasty situation, without a doubt.
The cat walked around, its nose in the air,
Across corridors and down the stairs.
The mouse scampered about without a care;
Together they lived this unlikely pair.
The ghosts and witches poked fun at them,
Scared and taunted them again and again.
But the friends didn’t say a thing even when
The ghosts chased away their friend, the hen.
They didn’t say a thing even when
They were harassed and irritated, time and again,
For they were alive and the ghosts were dead
And the witches, well, nobody cared about them.
So tolerant and patient they both were,
The cat and the mouse, that unlikely pair;
While the ghosts screamed loudly on the stairs
And the witches, they hovered in the air.
