The hcf and lcmof two numbers are 16 and 3072 respectively if one of the number is 48,then square root of the other number is?

LCM * HCF = N1 * N2
N2 = LCM * HCF / N1
N2 = 3072*16 / 48
N2 = 1024
The square root of the other number is 32

R\times S= Lcm \times Hcf -------------   formula no. 01

R and S = numbers

Hcf  = Hcf  of R and S.

Solution:

As given- Hcf  & Lcm  of the  two numbers respectively are 16 and 3072.

As given  - 48 is  one of the number              

R=48    ,   Hcf =16     and    Lcf = 3072

Applying formula no.01

R\times S= Lcm \times Hcf

48\times S= 3072\times 16

S=1024

The square root of S = \sqrt{S}  

                                   = \sqrt{1024}   = 32

Thus,the other number square root   is 32 .
