$hcf = \frac{lcm \: of \: x \: and \: y}{5}$
$lcm = 5 \times hcf \: of \: x \: and \: y$
Now,
Sice we know that,
HCF ×LCM =Product of two number
HCF×5×HCF=720
$(hcf)^{2} = \frac{720}{5} \\ {(hcf)}^{2} = 144 \\ hcf = 12$
