The hcf of two numbers is 23 and then lcm is 1449, if one of the number is 207 then find the other.

Given:

HCF =23 and LCM =1449

We know that:-

a×b=hcf×lcm

207×b=23×1449

b =  \frac{23 \times 1449}{207 }  \\   = \frac{33327}{207} \\  \\ = 161.

So the answer is 161

For checking:-

if we find the HCF of 207 and 161=23

if we find the LCM of 207 and 161=1449

so our answer is correct.
