Given:

The HCF of two numbers = 42 and

The LCM of two numbers = 2646

One the number = 441

Let x be the other number.

We have to find, the value of other number.

Solution:

We know that:

LCM × HCF = First number × Second number

∴ 441 × x = 2646 × 42

Dividing both sides by 441, we get

⇒ 1 × x = 6 × 42

⇒ x = 252

Thus, the other number is equal to "252".

Given:

The HCF of two numbers is 42 and their LCM is 2646.

one the number is 441

To find:

the value of another number.

Solution:

We have given the one number as 441

Let the other number be X

As we have given the HCF (441, X) = 42

LCM(441, X) = 2646

And as per the rule of the LCM and HCF of two numbers, the product of the two numbers is equal to the product or their LCM and HCF.

LCM × HCF = Product of two numbers

2646 × 42 = 441 × X

2646 × 42 = 441 × X

X= 2646 × 42 /441

X = 126 × 2

X = 252

hence,

The another number is 252
