Solution :-

Let us assume that, the two numbers are 61x and 61y .

So,

→ 61x + 61y = 1159

→ 61(x + y) = 1159

→ x + y = 19 .

checking numbers now we get,

  • At x = 1 , y = 18
  • At x = 2, y = 17
  • At x = 3, y = 16
  • At x = 4, y = 15
  • At x = 5, y = 14
  • At x = 6, y = 13
  • At x = 7, y = 12
  • At x = 8, y = 11
  • At x = 9, y = 10

therefore,

→ Total possible pairs are = 9 + 9 = 18 (Ans.)
