The head of a construction company wants to give as a bonus 4 decorated hemispherical balls to 500 workers on Diwali. The radius of hemispherical bowl is 10.5 cm . If the decoration of pattern on outer curved surface area costs Rs 5 per 100 cm² , then calculate the cost paid by head. Which value is depicted by head?

CSA of hemisphere is 2pi r^2
decoration area of one hemispherical ball is 2*pi*(10.5)^2=2*(22/7)*10.5*10.5 = 44*1.5*10.5=693cm^2
since there are 500 workers and head wants to give 4 balls each...therefore decorative area for 500*4 balls...
=500*4*693
=2000*693
=1386000cm^2
now
cost for 100cm^2 is Rs 5
cost for 1386000*5/100 = 13860*5 =Rs69300
therefore cost paid by head is Rs 69300..

here head shows sympathy towards his workers...

hope this helps:p
