The value ΔU per mole will be 160 kJ

-Given:

c = 500 J / K

ΔT = 2 °C = 2 K

- We know that heat Q = c × ΔT

⇒    Q = 500 × 2

⇒    Q = 1000 J

- Moles of CH4 = 0.1 / 16 = 6.25 × 10⁻³

- Heat released per mole = 1000 /  (6.25 × 10⁻³)

                          = 160000 J

                          = 160 KJ

- This is equal to the change in internal energy per mole, i.e., ΔU = 160 kJ
