Given:

  • Height of cylinder = 21 cm
  • Volume of cylinder = 7528 cm³

To find:

  1. Radius = ?

Method:

Volume of cylinder = π r²h

\implies \sf{7528= \dfrac{22}{7}\times 21 \times 21 \times h}\\\\\implies \sf{7528=22 \times 3 \times 21 \times h}\\\\\implies \sf{h=\dfrac{7528}{22 \times 3 \times 21 } }\\\\ \\  \implies \sf{h=\dfrac{7528}{1386} }\\\\\implies \boxed{\sf{h=5.43 \: m}}

∴ Height of cylinder = 5.43 m

Additional information:

  1. The Curved surface area(CSA) of cylinder or Lateral Surface Area(LSA) is 2πrh
  2. The Total Surface Area of cylinder is the area including the CSA and 2 circular planes on the top and bottom. So the formula is 2πr(r + h)
