 \mathbf \red{given}

  • Height =16cm
  • Diameter =24 cm
  • radius =d/2=>24/2=>12cm

we know that

  • Curved surface area of the cone = pie ×r×l
  • Total surface area of the cone =pie r(l+r)

 \mathbf \red{solution}

Now,

By pythagoras therome

l {}^{}  =  \sqrt{r {}^{2} + h {}^{2}  }

l =  \sqrt{(12) {}^{2}  + (16) {}^{2} }

l =  \sqrt{144 + 256}

l =  \sqrt{400}

l = 20

  • Curved surface area =pie×r×l

putting the value

=22/7×12×20

=5280/7

  • total surface area =pie×r(l+r)

=22/7×12(20+12)

=22/7×12×32

=3445/7
