original cone height = 40 = r

small cone height = h = r

now, r1/r=h/40. h=40* r1/r

volume of small cone / volume of original cone

= 1/64

through substituting values in the formula we get

r1 sq.*h/r sq. *40= 1/64

r1 cube / r cube = 1/64

r1/r = 1/4

now h = 40/4 = 10 CM
