Given:

Height of Cone = 21cm

Volume = 700πcm³

To Find:

Radius of its base

Solution:

Volume of cone = 1/3πr²h

Substituting the values -

700 = 1/3πr² × 21

r = √ 3 × 700/ π × 21

r = √ 700/ π × 7

r = √ 700/ 3.14 × 7

r = √ 700/ 21.9

r = √ 31.84

r = 5.64

Answer: Radius of its base is 5.64 cm

Radius of  base of cone is 10 cm if height of a cone us 21 cm and volume is 700π cm³

Given:

  • A cone
  • Volume = 700π cm³
  • Height = 21 cm

To Find

  • Radius of the cone

Solution:

  • V = (1/3)πr²h
  • V = Volume of the cone
  • r = Radius of the base of cone
  • h = Height of the cone

Step 1:

Use formula for the volume of a cone and substitute

V = 700π ,  h = 21 cm

700π = (1/3)πr²(21)

Step 2:

Solve for radius r

700π = (1/3)πr²(21)

700π = πr²(7)         (21/3 = 7)

700 = r²(7)        ( Divide both sides by π)

100 = r²(1)        ( Divide both sides by 7)

10 = r           ( Taking square root both sides and considering +ve value only as radius can not be negative)

Hence , Radius of  base of cone is 10 cm
