Answer: 99cm cube

Step-by-step explanation:

CSA = 2 x pi x r x h

264   = 2 x 22/7 x r x 14

          = 2 x 22 x 2 x r

r        = 262/ 2x 22x 2

          = 3/2

volume = pi x r square x h

            = 22/7 x 3/2 x 3/2 x 14

             = 11 x 3 x 3

             = 99 cm cube

Given:

  • The height of a cylinder, h = 14 cm

  • Curved surface area ,C.S.A = 264 cm²

To find out:

Find the volume of cylinder.

Formula used:

  • C.S.A = 2πrh

  • Volume = πr²h

Solution:

Curved Surface area= 2πrh

➱264   = 2 × 22/7 × r × 14

➱264  = 44 × 2 × r

➱264 = 88 × r

➱r = 264/88

➱Radius, r = 3

Now,

volume of cylinder= πr²h

= 22/7 × 3 × 3 × 14

= 22/7 × 9 × 14

= 22 × 9 × 2

= 198 × 2

= 396
