Height = 3dm = 30cm
Area = 240cm sq

Area = Breadth * Height

Breadth = Area / Height
              = 240/30
              = 8cm

Hope this helps you............

The base will be "88 cm".

Step-by-step explanation:

The \ given \ values \ are:\\The \ area \ of \ a \ parallelogram,A=240 \ cm^2\\The \ height \ of \ a \ parallelogram,h=3dm=3*10=30 \ cm\\base,b=?\\As \ we \ know,\\Area \ of \ a \ parallelogram= base*height\\On \ putting \ the \ values \ in \ the \ above \ formula,we \ get\\240=base*30\\base=\frac{240}{30}\\base=8 \ cm
