Step-by-step explanation:

Let the base be -x

Then height-x/3

Area of llgm – 108cmsquare

b×h = 108cmsquare

X*x/3= 108

Xsquare= 108*3

X=√324

Base of parallelogram – 18cm

Height of the parallelogram – x/3

=18/3

= 6cm.

Given:-

  • Area of the parallelogram = 108 cm²

To Find:-

Base and height of the parallelogram

Assumption:-

Let the base be x

Height = \sf{\dfrac{1x}{3}}

Solution:-

We know,

Area of parallelogram = Base × Height sq.units

Therefore,

\sf{108 = x \times \dfrac{1x}{3}}

= \sf{108\times 3 = x^2}

= \sf{x^2 = 324}

= \sf{x = \sqrt{324}}

= \sf{x = 18\:cm}

Now,

\sf{Length = x = 18 \:cm}

Breadth = \sf{\dfrac{1x}{3} = \dfrac{18\times1}{3} = 6\:cm}

Verification:-

Area of the parallelogram must be 108 cm²

= \sf{Length\times Breadth\:\:sq.units}

= \sf{18\times6\:cm^2}

= \sf{108\:\:cm^2} [Hence Verified]

Formula Used:-

Area of parallelogram = \sf{L\times B\:\:sq.units}

Where,

L = Length

B = Breadth

About Parallelogram:-

  • Parallelogram is a shape with two pairs of equal sides.

  • Permeter of a parallelogram = 2(sum of the lengths of the adjacent sides) units.

  • Number of vertices in a Parallelogram is 4

  • Number of edges of a Parallelogram is 4.
