→let

★the base of parallelogram =xcm

height= 1/3×x

★area of parallelogram base × height

★108= x× 1/3×x

★x²=108×3= 324

★therefore x=18

★base =18cm

★height=6cm

hope it helps

Answer :-

  • The base of parallelogram = 18cm
  • The height of parallelogram = 6cm

Step-by-step explanation :-

To Find,

  • The base and height of the Parallelogram. ...?

Solution,

Given that,

  • Area of parallelogram = 108cm
  • The height of the parallelogram is one-third of it's base

Figure,

  • Refer the attachment.

Let us assume,

  • The base of parallelogram = x cm
  • The height of parallelogram = ⅓ × x cm

As we know that,

Area of parallelogram = b × h

Where,

  • b = Base
  • h = Height

Therefore,

➮ Base × height = Area

➮ x × ⅓ × x = 108

➮ x² × ⅓ = 108

➮ x² = 108 × 3

➮ x² = 324

➮ x = √324

➮ x = 18 ★

Hence, the value of x is 18.

Therefore, the base and height of parallelogram is,

  • We assumed the base of parallelogram as x

➮ x

➮ 18 ★

  • We assumed the height of parallelogram as × x

➮ ⅓ × 18

➮ 6 ★

Hence, the measure of base and height of the parallelogram is 18 cm and 6cm respectively.
