Area of parallogram= 200cm^2.
b×h =200
now. b×b/2. =200[ h= b/2 ]
b^2= 400. so b= √400
b=20.cm
h=20/2=10cm

The height and base of the parallelogram are 10 cm and 20 cm respectively.

Step-by-step explanation:

It is given that  height of a parallelogram is half of its base.

Let 2x be the base of parallelogram.

Height of parallelogram = \frac{1}{2}(2x)=x

Area of a parallelogram is

Area=base\times height

Substitute base = 2x and height = x in the above formula.

Area=2x\times x

Area=2x^2

It is given that area of the parallelogram is 200 square centimeters.

2x^2=200

Divide both sides by 2.

x^2=100

Taking square root on both sides.

x=10

The value of x is 10. It means height of parallelogram is 10 cm

Base of parallelogram =2x=2(10)=20

Therefore, the height and base of the parallelogram are 10 cm and 20 cm respectively.
