first ..the length is 10cm (A-B)

next take the length of the shadow fromed by the sun of the pole as X (B-C)

By the given information we can form a right angled triangle. ABC

which is 45° angled at C

  1. take at angle C
  2. tang 45° = AB/BC
  3. 1 = 10/ X
  4. Transpose X to tht side
  5. 1×X=10
  6. X=10cm..
  7. The casted shadow is 10cm..
